Around Mortain
Accommodation

Mortain's hillside location affords it commanding views over the surrounding countryside
which gave it strategic importance during WW2.

Aside from its historical heritage, the town itself is home to a number of natural attractions.

It is an ideal location for walking, cycling and visiting the abundance of historical sights,
places of natural beauty, or just relaxing.

There are markets held throughout the week in the surrounding districts and depot ventes
(second hand shops) can be found in most towns.
